Title: Msc Mass Communication Management
Are you fascinated by technological advancements in communication and media and how the introduction of new media is affecting our lives on a daily basis? This programme is oriented strongly towards the nature and demands of the contemporary Media, the marketing landscape and the issues facing the management and promotion of mass communication Industries, and the requirements needed to understand and work effectively and flexibly within those Industries.
Throughout this program you will develop a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Media institutions and an ability to confidently explore the implications of theory, research and practice for the contemporary mass communications landscape.
Modules studied include relationship marketing in a global context Media research methods and advertising and promotional culture.
You can choose to apply your knowledge and understanding to the research of specific areas in mass communication, media and cultural industry development as well as self-management and marketing strategy. You will be taught by experienced academic and Industry staff to manage and interpret data in your own field of study and apply different research and evaluation methodologies and strategies.
On graduating you will be suited for employment across a wide range of Media professions including careers in the creative and cultural Industries and professional environments which require critical thinking, sound judgements and excellent use of initiative.

Entry requirements: Minimum of a 2:2 (second class) honours degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Professional qualifications may also be accepted.
Assessment method: Teaching and learning takes place in seminars, lectures, tutorials and workshops. In addition, you will engage in independent study involving directed and self-directed learning.
Assessments for this course are based on a mix of assignments, presentations and group work.
You will be assigned your own Guidance Tutor who will provide academic and pastoral support and be your first point of contact if you have questions or problems.
